Parents4Parents-NorthYorks is right here at Carnagill Community Primary School

  • We are a registered charity run by and for parents from local communities.
  • We offer confidential peer support for parents who are facing difficult circumstances when expecting and looking after their children.
  • We never judge, criticise or tell parents what to do.
  • The support we offer focuses on the parent as a person in their own right and for their own sake.
  • We provide one to one support for individuals and run small and friendly parent support groups
  • We train parents who know how hard becoming and being a parent  can be, to be peer skilled supporters.

You will find some of our volunteers in Poppies most Mondays between 9.30-11.30am .

If you think you know someone who might benefit from peer support or might make a good peer supporter, or would just like to find out more about us, you are welcome to pop in and see us. Or you can contact Viv our project manager on or by calling or for texting 07749 420 833 or 07590 562 470

Our exciting new Take Our Words For It! project

If you know someone who would like to write about their experiences of becoming and being a parent and meet other parents who want to do the same, then this project could be for them. They will take part in workshops led by professional writers who know how to help people put their memories, thoughts and feelings into words in a powerful way. They will be part of really supportive group and have their writing published and performed at events. They don’t need to have any previous experience of writing, as long as they have something to say, the writers who lead the workshops will help them to find the words to say it.

Please contact  Parents4Parents-NorthYorks Project Manager if you know anyone who might be interested.
