Religious Education (R.E)

Religious Education (R.E) is taught once a week at Carnagill School. The children are taught about different beliefs, faiths and cultures through a variety of ways. Children's views are welcomed and the children's questions and opinions are discussed in a respectable and tolerant atmosphere.

Children celebrate the key festivals of Christianity such as Christmas and Easter, with visits to the local Church and special services in School. Other key festivals in world faiths, such as Ramadan, Yom Kippur and Divali are celebrated and learnt about in different units of work.

A child has a right to withdraw from R.E lessons should their parent wish them to. Please see the R.E Policy for more information.

The Subject leader for R.E at Carnagill School is Mrs S. Bradshaw.
