PE and School Sport Funding

Why has it been introduced?

The Government aims to help Primary schools to improve the quality and breadth of PE and sport provision, including increasing participation in PE and sport so that all pupils develop healthy lifestyles and reach the performance levels they are capable of.

Sporting Achievements

 

Year 5-6 pupils took part in a cluster cyclo cross festival at Le Cateau.  They enjoyed being able to do cross county on their bikes.  Two pupils came 2nd and 3rd in their respective races.

Mrs Brown's Year 2 Class took part in a multi skills event at Risedale.  They had great fun developing fundamental skills and improving their confidence and fitness.

Year 3-4 pupils took part in a cluster football friendly wearing the new sports kit with great pride.

Year 5-6 pupils took part in the Garrison football competition.  They won a number of their matches and went through to represent the Garrison at the Level 2 event played on the astro turf at Richmond Secondary School.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Year 5/6 Girls took part in the Catterick Cluster Football competition on Thursday 1st February. We won as a school and will go through to the Level 2 competition. 

 

Year 5/6 Tag Rugby was held on Thursday 8th February. Our team came in 2nd place and so went on to play in the Level 2 competition on Wednesday 14th March at Richmond Rugby Club. 


Over 30 of our KS2 children went to the Cross Country event at Richmond School on Tuesday 13th March. 3 of our girls came in the top 8 finishers for their race.
