Film/Book Club

The children had great fun watching Charlie and the Chocolate factory! We were able to look at the book and see how different it was on the screen, but some things stayed the same!

The children discussed their favourite parts of the film:

  • "I liked that Charlie didn't give up finding the golden ticket" - Oliver.
  • "I enjoyed the ending when Willy Wonka went to Charlie's house when it was in the chocolate room and the icing sugar was like snow" - Leo.
  • "I liked the moment Charlie found the golden ticket" - Grace.
  • "It was good when Willy Wonka's dad realised it was his son in the chair" Josh.

Our next film will be based on the C.S Lewis' novel Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe...what will be inside the wardrobe?

Film/book club happens on Tuesday after school with Mrs Bradshaw and Mrs White. We watch films that are also very popular children's books, to see if there are similarities and differences between the two. Our first film this half term is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. We have enjoyed watching the film and completing tasks about the film, such as designing our own chocolate bars.

What would you include in your dream chocolate bar?

If you would like to join film/book club come and speak to Mrs Bradshaw.
