Y4/5 SW

A very warm welcome to Year 4/5 from Mrs Stephens, Mrs Wigham and Mrs Pickersgill.

Ours is a busy and enthusiastic classroom. Children are challenged and encouraged to be more independent, strive to meet our high expectations and be kind, supportive members of the school community.

We celebrate our work on a daily basis. Walking into our classroom you will see examples of our latest work in English and Maths displayed on our working walls, our investigations in Science and our amazing homework in pride of place.

These displays as well as all our resources ensure we have everything we need to succeed and have fun!

General PE kit should be in school Monday - Friday.

Each week children have tests in spellings and times tables.

We encourage reading at home each day and the opportunity to express creativity further through topic related homework.

Parents, can you please ensure your child has time at home to practice for their tests which take place on a Friday and ensure their homework is returned to school at the beginning of each week.

If at any time you wish to discuss your child's work and progress please feel free to make an appointment to see Mrs Stephens or Mrs Wigham.

In the academic year 2017-2018 we’ve covered lots of great topics and had the chance to make some brilliant things!

Landing pad - 9.2.18.

To celebrate our achievements and work this half term, we had a very special visitor come into school - an authentic Viking! He taught us the gruesome ways people were executed in Viking times and had a chance to look and practice with some Viking weapons and artefacts. We looked great in our Viking costumes! It was a brilliant way to end our topic.

Viking visit!

Bright Sparks!

We made simple circuits and our own light-up Christmas card.

And we've made our own maths games too!
