Welcome to Carnagill Community Primary School.

This website is designed to give you an insight into the life and work of our school. I hope that as you navigate around the site you get a feeling for the vibrant community that is Carnagill Primary School.

As a school, we aim to provide a safe and secure environment where your child can develop academically, physically and socially, whilst gaining a wide range of skills to equip them for their future. Like you, we want the very best for all of our children. We believe a school should be a special place that allows all children to be happy, confident and motivated to enjoy their learning.

We are particularly proud of the strong relationship between children, staff and parents and we believe that this is key to the success of our school. Every child is treated as an individual and encouraged to show respect for others. This is particularly relevant to our mission statement - we never judge a book by its cover which is central to all that we do.

Over the last year the school has been on a huge journey and rapid improvements have been recognised. Please read the letter attached which provides you with further information. It has been recognised that “the leadership of the school should be commended for their tenacity in driving this improvement forward.” We are all proud of the successes over the last year and look forward to working with you to ensure that we provide the very best education for your children.

Mrs Louise Newport.

Headteacher
